Removing






- Remove the center console insert. Refer to => [ Center Console Insert ] Center Console Insert.

- Remove the front ashtray. Refer to => [ Front Ashtray ] Front Ashtray.

- Remove the convertible top operation switch/central window regulator switch mount. Refer to => [ Convertible Top Operation Switch and Central Window Regulator Switch Mount ] Convertible Top Operation Switch and Central Window Regulator Switch Mount.

- Vehicles with a 12V outlet: disconnect the connector - 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 3 -.

- Vehicles with a front center armrest: remove the front center armrest. Refer to => [ Front Center Armrest ] Front Center Armrest.

- Vehicles without a front center armrest: remove center console cover. Refer to => [ Center Console Cover ] Center Console Cover and nuts - 1 -.






- Vehicles with a telephone/cell phone: disconnect the connectors.

- Lift the center console and remove it back out of the instrument panel and over the selector lever/shift lever.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Guide the connectors for the convertible top operation switch and central window regulator switch through the opening in the center console.

- Make sure the center console is flush with the instrument panel.
