Removing





With Lane Assist

- Unclip the top cover - 1 - on the mirror base - arrows -.

- Disengage the bottom cover on the mirror base using a screwdriver and remove it.

Without Lane Assist





- Pry the top cover - 1 - from the interior rearview mirror base - arrows -.

Continuation for All





- Remove the electrical connector - 2 - and disconnect it.

- Turn the interior rearview mirror on the base - 1 - counterclockwise - arrow - as far as the stop.

- Remove the interior mirror from the holding plate.

- Release the retaining tabs - 1 - and - 2 - with a screwdriver - 3 -.





- Disengage the rear cover - 4 -.

- Release the retaining tabs - arrows - and carefully fold the upper cover - 2 - up slightly.





- Disengage the retaining tab - 1 - at the front cover - 3 -.

- Remove the upper cover.

- Disengage the retaining hooks in the - direction of the arrow - and remove the front cover - 2 - downward from the guide bars - 1 - on the interior rearview mirror base.





- Remove the bolt - 1 - and disengage the housing - 2 - for the automatic high beam control module (J844) with light recognition sensor (G399) by pulling the retaining tab - arrow - out of the interior rearview mirror base - 3 -.





- Release the retaining clips - 2 - - arrows - and remove the humidity sensor (G355) - item 4 - from the interior rearview mirror base - 1 -.





- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

Installing

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Headlamp Assistant, Humidity Sensor and Lane Assist Assembly Overview ] Headlamp Assistant, Humidity Sensor and Lane Assist Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the interior rearview mirror.
