Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module Bracket

Removing


Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components ] Description and Operation.

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Remove the memory seat/steering column adjustment control module. Refer to => [ Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module ] Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module.

- Press the pin - 2 - toward the upholster and out of the clip - arrow A - on the bracket - 1 -, for example using an upholstery needle.





- Remove the pin from the seat.

- Remove the bracket support base - 2 - from the seat pan upper frame.





- Unclip the clip - arrow A - at the seat pan upper frame - 1 -.

- Disengage the retaining tabs - arrow B - (quantity: 2).

- Carefully remove the bracket in the - direction of the arrow - from the seat pan.

- Remove the bracket from the seat pan.

Installation


Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components ] Description and Operation.

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.


Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.

If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
