Switch Unit Microswitch, Adjusting

Adjust the backrest lock switch, refer to => [ Adjust the backrest lock switch. ].

Backrest Forward Stop Switch, Adjusting => [ Adjusting the backrest forward stop switch ].

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Spacer sleeve (T40180)

Gauge (T40181)

Adjust the backrest lock switch.






The distance between the pins - 3 - and the tab - 4 - on the backrest lock switch must be checked with the backrest locked.

Do not damage the tab - 4 - when sliding the spacer sleeve (T40180) on.

- Slide the spacer sleeve (T40180) onto the pins - 3 - as far as the stop.

The spacer sleeve (T40180) and tab - 4 - must touch each other but must not activate the backrest lock switch - 2 -.


If the spacer sleeve (T40180) does not touch the tab or if it activates the backrest lock switch, the switch must be adjusted.

- Remove the slide retainer - 1 - with a screwdriver - arrow -.





- Release the locking tab - 4 - in the - direction of the arrow -.





- Move the slide - 3 - with the backrest lock switch - 1 - in the - direction of arrow A or B -.

Leave the spacer sleeve (T40180) installed on the pins when adjusting the backrest lock switch.

- Clip the slide retainer - 1 - in.





Adjusting the backrest forward stop switch





The locking bushing - 4 - must not engage with the spindle- 3 -. It must be able to move on the shaft - 5 -.

- Place the gauge (T40181) on the anchor - 2 -.





- The front edge of the gauge - arrow B - must lie on the moving anchor - 1 -.

- Connect an external power source (12 Volt) to the backrest adjustment motor.

- Move the backrest forward until the anchor - 1 - lies on the gauge (T40181) and the motor switches off.

Depending on the switch adjusting, the backrest adjustment motor may stop before it runs into the block. Run the motor up to the block again. The gauge must be clamped in.

- Rotate the spindle - 2 - until the spindle nut - 1 - operates the button - arrow -.





- Engage the locking bushing - 4 - with the spindle - 3 -.





- Remove the gauge.

Checking the Adjustment

- Move the backrest back slightly using the adjusting motor.

- Move the backrest forward again until the adjustment motor switches off.

There should be a gap at the location where the gauge was inserted for the adjustment.

The anchors must not be located together on the block.
