Pay attention to the safety precautions and general information when removing or installing an interior rearview mirror. • The removal and installation procedure describes an automatic day/night interior rearview mirror (Y7). The procedure is identical with other versions.

Removing





With lane assist:

- Remove the lower cover - 1 - - arrows -.

- Using a screwdriver, unclip and remove the lower cover.

- Remove the mirror base cover - 1 - using a screwdriver.





Without lane assist:





- Pry the cover - 1 - out on the bottom of the mirror base - arrows -.

All Vehicles





- Remove the electrical connector from its retainer.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.

- Turn the interior rearview mirror counterclockwise - arrow - on the mirror base - 1 - as far as the stop.

- Remove the interior rearview mirror from the retaining plate.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Position the interior rearview mirror turned 30° from its installation position.

- Then turn the interior rearview mirror clockwise as far as the stop.
