Engine, Securing to Engine and Transmission Holder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Sling (2024 A)

Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095) with Universal Mount (VAS 6095/1) and Bracket for V6 FSI Engine, Audi A6 (VAS 6095/1-5)

Shop Crane (VAS 6100)

Lift Arm Ext./Workshop Hoist (VAS 6101)

Securing


Risk of accident!

The engine may be transported only in the manner described and without the transmission.

Engine separated from transmission. Refer to => [ Engine and Automatic Transmission, Separating ] Engine and Automatic Transmission, Separating.

- Attach the (2024 A) to the engine and to the (VAS 6100) using the (VAS 6101) as illustrated.






To be aligned to the center of gravity of the engine assembly, the hole rails of the lifting hook must be inserted as shown in the illustration.


Risk of accident due to loose engine sling components.

Use securing pins - arrows - to secure the lifting hooks and alignment pins.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the left engine support.






The illustration shows the installation location without the engine bearing bracket.

Ignore - 1 -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the right electro hydraulic engine mount solenoid valve (N145).






- Free up the electrical wire on the engine bearing bracket

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the right engine support.

- Secure the engine to the (VAS 6095/1) and (VAS 6095/1-5) on the (VAS 6095) to 40 Nm, as illustrated.
