Right Luggage Compartment Relay and Fuse Panel
Removing
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
- Remove right luggage compartment side trim cover.
- Release retaining springs - arrows A - and pull comfort system central control module (J393) downward out of relay and fuse panel - arrow B -.
• Ignore items - 1 to 3 -.
- Unclip harness connectors - 4 - and bracket - 3 - for additional fuses at relay and fuse panel.
- Remove relay - 2 - or control modules, then unclip respective relay carrier.
- Release retaining springs - arrows - and open cover - 1 -.
Sedan
- On vehicles with parking aid, remove right side trim.
- Release clip - arrow A - and swivel parking aid control module (J446) - 4 - out of mounting frame - arrow B -.
- Connectors - 1 through 3 - remain connected.
- Remove the bolts and nuts - arrows -.
- Remove mounting frame - 1 - for control modules.
• Towing recognition control module (J345) does not need to be removed.
Vehicles with Car Jack Bracket
- Remove car jack from bracket.
- Remove nuts - 1 - and - 2 - and bolt - 3 -.
- Remove car jack bracket.
All
- Remove wires - 1 through 3 -.
- Remove nuts - arrows - and remove relay and fuse panel.
- Release retaining springs - arrows - and press fuse panels - 1 - and - 2 - toward rear out of relay and fuse panel.
• For exact assignment of relay and fuse panel in right luggage compartment, refer to current wiring diagram.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Connect battery. Required actions => [ Vehicles with : ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
