Rear Seat Side Upholstery

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

• torque wrench (V.A.G 1410)

CAUTION!
For vehicles with side airbags, observe safety precautions for side airbags. Refer to => [ Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions ] Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions.





1 Side Upholstery

• Removing

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove the screw - 6 -.

- Vehicles with a side airbag - 8 -: disconnect the connector - 7 -. Refer to => [ Disconnect the side airbag connector ]

- Remove nut - 4 -.

- Remove latch bolt - 5 - with washer - 3 - and dished washer - 2 -.

• Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Be sure to note the following:

- Insert latch bolt - 5 - and tighten nut - 4 -.

2 Dished Washer

3 Window

4 Nut

• Tightening specification 55 Nm

5 Striker Pin

6 Bolt

• Tightening specification 8 Nm

7 Side Airbag Connector

8 Side Airbag

Disconnect the side airbag connector





- Press retainer tab - 2 - on side airbag connector - 1 - and disconnect from counterpiece - 3 -.
