Air Filter Assembly Overview





1 - Secondary air injection (AIR) pump intake hose

2 - Intake air switch-over valve (N335)

• With intake air switch-over flap

3 - Bolt

4 - Intake air guide

• For cold air intake

5 - Expanding rivet

• Must audibly engage during installation

6 - Air filter element

• Always use a genuine air filter element

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Filter Element ] Service and Repair

• Clean snow screen also (if present)

7 - O-ring

• Replace if damaged

8 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor

• Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor (G70) with Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor (G42), removing and installing, refer to => [ Mass Air Flow Sensor ] Service and Repair

9 - Hose clamp

10 - Air guide hose

• To Throttle Valve Control Module (J338)

11 - Hose clamp

12 - Bolt

13 - Air filter upper section

• Clean the upper section of the air filter from salt, dirt and leaves.

14 - Air duct

• Clean air duct of dirt and leaves

15 - Bolt

16 - Air duct

• To lock carrier

• Clean air duct of dirt and leaves

17 - Air duct

• Clipped into upper part of air filter

• Clean air duct of dirt and leaves

18 - O-ring

• Replace if damaged

19 - Air filter lower section

• Clean the lower section of the air filter from salt, dirt and leaves.

• Important: Check for water drain for dirt; clean if necessary.

20 - Rubber grommet

21 - Water drain hose

• Important: clean water drain hose of dirt and leaves
