Towing Recognition Control Module, Station Wagon

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the replace function for the respective control module in guided fault finding or guided functions.

- Select the function or path:





- Follow the instructions on the vehicle diagnosis tester display.

- Remove right luggage compartment side trim cover.

Vehicles with Car Jack Bracket

- Remove car jack from bracket.

- Remove nuts - 1 - and - 2 - and bolt - 3 -.





- Remove car jack bracket.

All

- Remove towing eye - 1 - from mount for vehicle tool kit - 2 -.





Vehicles Without Bracket for Control Modules

- Remove nut - right arrow -.

All

- Remove nut - left arrow - and remove mount for vehicle tool kit.

- Remove luggage compartment storage area floor - 1 - and cover for spare wheel - 2 -.





- Push tie-downs - 2 - together in retaining track - 1 - so that they do not rest above bolts.





- Remove the bolts - arrow - and remove retaining track.

- Disengage side luggage compartment trim in lower area.

- Release clips - arrows A - and pivot towing recognition control module (J345) - 1 - out a bit.





- Release clip - arrow B - and pivot towing recognition control module out of mounting frame.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 2 to 4 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

Tightening Specifications
