Backrest

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)

Removing

- Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Seat.

- Mount the (VAS 6136) on the (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the (VAS 6136).

- Remove the seat pan. Refer to => [ Seat Pan ] Seat Pan.

- Remove the control module. Refer to => [ Control Module ] Control Module.

- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the backrest - 3 - and cut the cable ties - 2 - for the electrical wiring harness.

- Remove the backrest with the electrical wiring harness.

Installation

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Backrest and Seat Pan Assembly Overview ] Backrest and Seat Pan Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Insert the bolts with locking compound.
