Seat Pan







Seat Pan

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)

Removing

- Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Seat.

- Mount the (VAS 6136) on the (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the (VAS 6136).

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Sill Side Trim ] Sill Side Trim.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] Tunnel Side Trim.

- Remove the seat forward/back adjustment handle.





- Press cable sleeve in - direction of arrow A - out of bracket.

- Disengage the seat forward/back adjustment actuating link - 1 - from the release lever - arrow B -.

- Release the securing clip - 4 - on the actuating link in the - direction of arrow A - and remove the clip upward - arrow B -.





- Release the retaining spring - 2 - with a narrow screwdriver - 3 -.

- Pull the seat rail release lever - 1 - up out of the wheel axis.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - and cut the cable ties - arrows -.





- Free up the electrical wiring harness on the retaining plate.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 2 and 4 -.

- Disconnect the pneumatic hose - 3 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrow -.





- Remove the seat pan - 2 - from the seat frame.

Installation

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Backrest and Seat Pan Assembly Overview ] Backrest and Seat Pan Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Insert the bolts with locking compound; locking compound.
