Removal and Replacement






Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

The adaptive cruise control sensor (G550) is located behind the radar cover in the front bumper.

- Remove the front bumper cover.

- Disconnect the connector - arrow -.






- Remove the hex bolts - 1 -.

- Remove the adaptive cruise control sensor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Studs in frame are preset. If necessary, correct adjustment.

- Place the adaptive cruise control sensor on a soft, clean cloth.

Measure - a - on all the stud bolts.





Dimension - a - must be 34 mm.

- Install the hex bolts - 1 - and tighten them.






- Reconnect electrical harness connector - arrow -.

- Install the front bumper cover.

- Calibrate the adaptive cruise control. Refer to => [ Adjustment Procedure Using ACC Setting Device VAS 6190 ] Adjustment Procedure Using ACC Setting Device VAS 6190.
