• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)
• Shock absorber set (T10001)
1 - Nut
• 25 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace.
2 - Shock Absorber Mounting
3 - Buffer Stop
4 - Protective Sleeve
• On the RS 6: attached to the stop buffer and the mount ring.

5 - Shock Absorbers
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, Coil Spring ] Shock Absorber, Coil Spring.
• Note different types of suspension versions, see vehicle data plate. Refer to => [ Production Control Number (PR Number), Explanations ] Application and ID.
• Always release gas and drain malfunctioning shock absorbers before disposal. Refer to => [ Rear Gas-Filled Strut, Venting ] Rear Gas-Filled Strut, Venting.

Loosening and Tightening Bolted Connection for Shock Absorber Mount
