Front Parking Aid Sensors

Removing






Outer Sensors

- Remove headlamp housings, refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Press both catches - arrows - to side and press sensor - 2 - inward from outside.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the sensor.

Inner sensor - Audi A8






- Remove the front bumper cover end plate.

- Release the tab - 1 - and remove the parking aid sensor - 2 -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Push both catches to the side - arrows - and remove the mount - 4 - from the sensor at the same time.

Inner sensor - Audi S8






- Remove front bumper cover.

- Release the parking aid sensor - 3 -: left, turn counter-clockwise - arrow -; right, turn clockwise.

- Remove the sensor through the back of the mount - 2 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.

- Open the retainers - arrows - and remove the sensor - 1 - from the mount - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Outer Sensors

- Install the headlamp housing, refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

Inner sensor - Audi A8

- Install the front bumper cover end plate.

Inner sensor - Audi S8

- Install the front bumper cover.
