Instrument Panel Upper Cover

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

Removing






- Remove upper rear defroster vent. Refer to => [ Upper Rear Defroster Vent ] Upper Rear Defroster Vent.

- Remove speaker side trim. Refer to => [ Side Speaker Trim ] Side Speaker Trim.

- Remove the side treble speaker in the instrument panel.

- Remove the sunlight photo sensor (G107).

- Remove the upper A-pillar trim. Refer to => [ A-Pillar Upper Trim ] A-Pillar Upper Trim.

- Remove the left and right bolts in the area of the A-pillar - 1, 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1, 2 and 3 - at the top of the instrument panel in the center.






- Unclip the instrument panel cover - 1 - at the top of the instrument panel using the pry lever - RMV outside mirror (80 - 200) - arrows A -.






- Remove instrument panel cover from the instrument panel toward the rear - arrow B -.

- Guide instrument panel cover on the front passenger side on the A-pillar and remove it.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Set the instrument panel cover in place and feed electrical harness connectors for sunlight photo sensor (G107) and speaker through the openings in the instrument panel cover.

- When sliding in the instrument panel cover - 3 - make sure that the clips - 1, 2 - engage in the profile on the bottom side of the instrument panel cover - arrow -.

- Press on the instrument panel cover until it engages audibly.

Installation note: For example tightening specifications, replace components. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Assembly Overview ] Instrument Panel Assembly Overview.
