Rear Upper Backrest Adjustment Motor V266/V267

Left rear upper backrest adjustment motor (V266) / right rear upper backrest adjustment motor (V267)

Removing






• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

- Seat frame Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove backrest cover together with backrest cushion. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat ] Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat.

- Remove upper backrest pressure distribution plate. Refer to => [ Upper Backrest Adjustment Pressure Distribution Plate ] Upper Backrest Adjustment Pressure Distribution Plate.

- Disconnect the connector - 5 -.

- Remove locking washers - arrows - using a screwdriver.

When removing and installing the motor - 1, 4 -, never turn the threaded mount - 2, 3 -. They are set by the manufacturer.

- Detach upper backrest adjustment motor - 1, 4 - with threaded mount - 2, 3 - at the seat frame and remove it.

Installing

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

• Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
