Data Link Connector (DLC)
• Installed location: The DLC - arrow - for the vehicle diagnosis tester in inside the footwell on the driver side.
Mechatronic, Transmission Control Module (J217) , Sensor and Pressure Regulating Valves - Part 1
• Installed location: The Mechatronic unit is bolted to the bottom of the transmission housing and is covered by the transmission fluid pan.
The Mechatronic unit incorporates the hydraulic control, the transmission control module, the multifunction transmission range switch and the sensors and actuators as a complete synchronized unit. The following are part of:
1. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 8 (N510) , depending on the date of manufacture, also solenoid valve 1 (N88)
2. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 7 (N443)
3. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 6 (N371)
4. Transmission output speed sensor (G195)
5. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 3 (N217)
6. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 5 (N233)
7. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 2 (N216)
8. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 4 (N218)
9. Automatic transmission pressure regulating valve 1 (N215)

1. Parking lock solenoid (N486)
2. Transmission input speed sensor (G182)
3. Transmission control module (J217)

• On Board Diagnostic (OBD) checks all the components named.
• Not shown: accumulator solenoid (N485) for vehicles equipped with the start/stop system.
• Only the complete "Mechatronic" unit can be replaced.

Hydraulic Impulse Memory - A - with Accumulator Solenoid , Present Depending on the Date of Manufacture

Transmission Fluid Cooling Valve (N509)
The transmission fluid cooling valve has different installed locations - 1 - depending on the date of manufacture. Here: the left front installed location next to the after-run coolant pump (V51) - 2 -.
Shift Mechanism Function Unit with Selector Lever (E313)
1. Shift mechanism function unit with selector lever (E313) , selector lever solenoid 1 (N496) , selector lever solenoid 2 (N497) , selector lever solenoid 3 (N498) , selector lever solenoid 4 (N499) and selector lever solenoid 5 (N500)
2. Selector lever release button (E681) with selector lever transmission range position display unit (Y26)
3. Selector lever sensor system control module (J587) with selector lever position sensor (G727)

Kick Down Switch
• A specific value from the accelerator pedal position sensor (G79) and the accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (G185) is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM).
• Installed location: The accelerator pedal position sensors are integrated inside the accelerator pedal module - arrow -.
• If the accelerator pedal sensor is faulty, then replace the accelerator pedal module.
