Removing






- Remove the rear noise insulation - 2 -.

- Remove the bolt - 3 - and free up the front emergency release cable on the tunnel crossmember.






• Ignore - 1 and 2 -.

Vehicles with a 4.0L TFSI Engine or a 4.2L FSI Engine






- Remove the bolts from the tunnel crossmember - arrows -.

Vehicles with a 6.3L FSI Engine






- Remove the right front muffler.

- Remove the bolts from the tunnel crossmember - arrows -.






All Vehicles






- Remove the nuts - arrow - and the tunnel crossmember.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Tunnel Crossmember, Transmission Mount and Transmission Supports Overview ] Tunnel Crossmember, Transmission Mount and Transmission Supports Overview.

- Install the right front muffler.

- Install the rear noise insulation.
