Torque Displacement, Checking
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Procedure
• Observe general repair notes, refer to => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.
• Follow all safety precautions, refer to => [ Safety Precautions and Test Procedures ] Safety Precautions and Test Procedures.
Perform 22 - Check Torque Displacement:
• Working on the rear final drive wiring
• Working on the valves: All Wheel Drive (AWD) clutch valve (N445) and AWD clutch valve 2 (N446)
• Working on the hydraulic control unit
- Lift the vehicle on a hoist just enough so that the wheels do not touch the floor.
- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester and turn on the ignition.
- Select 22 - Adapt Sensor in the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system under Guided Functions in directory 22 - Check Torque Displacement
• Follow all the instructions in the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system exactly.
The vehicle diagnostic tester checks if the torque is displaced on the correct side when the rear final drive is activated.
