Cover, Separating From Backrest Cushion

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634)

• Removal and installation of left 2/3 rear seat backrest and the right 1/3 rear seat backrest is identical.

Removing






- Remove the cover and the cushion for the left two third rear seat backrest:

• Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] Backrest Cover and Upholstery.

• Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion, With Pass-Through Door ] Backrest Cover and Cushion, With Pass-Through Door.

- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 2 -.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Make sure the contour strips fit correctly and the cover is not wrinkled.

- When installing new upholstery clips, use (V.A.G 1634).
