Upper Timing Chain Cover

Removing

- Disconnect the connector from camshaft adjustment valve 1 (N205) - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the camshaft adjustment valve 1.

- Remove the bolts - 1 through 5 - and remove the timing chain upper cover.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Timing Chain Cover Overview ] Timing Chain Cover Overview.

• Replace O-ring.

- Coat the sealing ring and the O-ring with engine oil.

- Install the timing chain upper cover, tightening sequence. Refer to => [ Timing Chain Upper Cover - Tightening
Sequence ] Timing Chain Cover Overview.

- Install camshaft adjustment valve 1. Refer to=> [ Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 ] Service and Repair.
