Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Accelerator Pedal Module with Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (G79)/Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 (G185)

Removing






- Remove the driver side lower instrument panel cover.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - by pressing the release - 1 - up - arrow -.

- Remove the bolt - 3 - and remove the accelerator pedal module downward.

Installing






• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Accelerator Pedal Module Overview ] Accelerator Pedal Module Overview.

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Engage the accelerator pedal module - 4 - on the bottom of the pedal bracket - 1 -, insert the centering pin - 2 - and tighten the bolt - 3 -.

- Install the driver side lower instrument panel cover.

- On vehicles with S-Tronic transmission or automatic transmission, perform "kick-down adaptation" in "Guided Functions" after replacing using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
