• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing







Danger of unintended engine ignition.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch to the "0" position.

- Pry the instrument panel side cover - 1 - up using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrow - and remove it.

- Release the retaining clips - A arrow - and tilt the fuse panel C (SC) - 2 - in the direction of the - B arrow - on the instrument panel central tube - 1 -.






- Reach through the opening on the side of the instrument panel and push the light switch (E1) - 1 - toward the rear and out of the instrument panel cover on the driver side, in the direction of the - arrow -.






- Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Press button unit into switch housing until lock mechanism engages.
