Affected Vehicles
Condition
After starting the engine the headlights sporadically repeat basic settings on either the left or right side. There are no DTCs stored in the system and no noticeable effect to standard lighting function.
Technical Background
During the initialization period after switching on terminal 15, a voltage drop may occur. The basic setting is not completed and the headlights are not adapted with the "Audi Adaptive (AFS)/curve lighting" function.
Production Solution
New software in the Dynamic Headlight Range Control Module (J431) addressed the condition.

SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the dynamic headlight range control unit (J431) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
3. Perform basic settings of the dynamic headlight range control module (J431), address 55.
