S-Contact and Ignition Condition
Terminal Control without Advanced Key
There are 4 microswitches inside the access/start authorization switch (E415). The comfort system central control module (J393) reads these. The following conditions will be recognized depending on which microswitch is switched on:
• There is no key inserted
• Key in the rest position = S-contact
• Key pushed
The ignition and the engine are turned on or off when the key is pushed in depending on the condition of the brake pedal or the clutch pedal.
Terminal Control with Advanced Key
There are 2 microswitches inside the access/start authorization switch (E408). The comfort system central control module (J393) reads these. The button will be recognized as being pressed when they are switched ground. The ignition and the engine are turned on or off when the button is pushed in depending on the condition of the brake pedal or the clutch pedal.
The comfort system central control module (J393) sends the information to the CAN Bus via the terminal status.
