Trunk Lamp: Service and Repair

Luggage Compartment Lamps (W18)/(W3) and Ambient Lamp in Rear Lid (W61)

Removing






- Press the retaining tab - 1 - in with a small flat-head screwdriver and pry out the lamp - 2 -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Rear lid lamp: carefully pry the lamp cover off in the direction of the - arrow -.






- Remove the bulb - 1 - on the rear side of the lamp from the socket - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Place the cover on the lamp in the rear lid.

- Connect the connectors.

- Insert light into opening and engage on opposite side.
