AFFECTED VEHICLES
CONDITION
When raising the window, the pinch protection intervenes without obstruction. This symptom occurs most often when the one-touch feature is used to raise the window.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Faulty window motor internal gearwheel.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
Improved window motor.
SERVICE
Make certain that there is no other possible cause for the pinch protection activating. Possible causes could be a broken or otherwise faulty window regulator, faulty or dirty door window guide, improperly adjusted door, etc. If all other possible causes have been checked and/or remedied and this symptom persists, replace the window motor.
