Front Bumper
1 Bumper Cover
• Before removing on vehicles with distance regulation (ACC), remove heated license plate holder.
• Before removal, remove lock carrier cover.
- Loosen wheel housing liner in area of screws or up to transition to fender.
- Remove cover securing pin on inner side.
- Remove screws - 2 - on lock carrier.
- Remove screws - 3 - on wheel housing liner and lower noise insulation. Refer to => [ (Item 2) Screws ].
- Unclip cover sideways from guide piece on transition to fender.
- Remove cover forward from vehicle.
• The spoiler can be removed at the bottom of the cover without having to remove the cover.
2 Combination Screw
• 6 Nm
• When installing, first tighten center then both outer screws to the specification.
3 Bolt
• 6 Nm
4 Front Wheel Spoiler
• Can be removed without removing bumper cover.
Wheel Housing Liner, Pulling Back
- Remove screws on wheel housing liner up to fender transition.
Cover Securing Pin
- Before cover can be removed, securing pin - 1 - must be removed.
Lock Carrier Cover
1 Lock Carrier Cover
• To remove, remove left and right spreader clips from cover.
• Remove cover diagonally toward rear from lock carrier.
• When installing, catches - arrows - must engage completely.
2 Expanding Rivet
• Release and remove.

Bolting Points
1 Bumper Cover
• On vehicles with distance regulation (ACC), with a new part, a foam piece must be broken out of cover.
2 Screws

ACC Cut-out
- On vehicles with ACC, foam must be broken out on break line - arrow -.
ACC License Plate Holder, Removing
- Unclip license plate holder forward on catches.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector to license plate holder.
Crossmember, Removing and Installing
On vehicles with distance regulation (ACC), observe the following.
If impact member is removed and installed or changes are made to ACC bracket, distance regulation adjustment must be performed.
1 Side Impact Bar
• Bumper cover removed.
• To remove, remove screws - 6 - while counter-holding at nut - 2 -.
2 Hex Nut
• 60 Nm
3 Window
4 Bolt
• 60 Nm
5 Shock Absorber
6 Hex Head Bolt
• 23 Nm
• When removing and installing, counter-hold at nut - 2 -.
7 Signal Horn
8 Combination Screw
• 8 Nm
9 ACC Sensor
• Only installed on vehicles with ACC.
Bumper Crossmember, Removing
- Bumper cover removed.
- Remove screws - 1 - and impact member - 5 -.
- To remove impact absorber - 3 -, remove screws - 4 -.
- Remove screw - 2 - and remove impact absorber.
- When installing, tighten screw - 2 - to 6 Nm.
- Screws - 4 - are tightened to 60 Nm.
Removing and Installing The Front Spoiler
1 Fog Light Trim
• Unclip and remove forward.
2 Spoiler
• It is not necessary to remove the bumper cover in order to remove the spoiler.
- Noise insulation removed.
- Remove the fog lamp trim.
- Remove the spoiler screws on the wheel housing liner.
- Remove the side and front bumper covers in stages.
- Remove the spoiler forward from the cover.
3 Combination Screw
• 1 Nm
4 Air Intake Grille
5 Turn Signals
• Air intake grille removed.
6 Front Bumper Cover
7 Front Wheel Spoiler
• Removal, refer to => [ Front Wheel Spoiler Overview ] Service and Repair.
8 Combination Screw
• 2 Nm
Air Intake Grille, Removing
- Release outer air intake grille - 2 - - arrow - and remove it in direction of arrow from bumper - 1 -.
Removing and Installing the Offroad Style Front Spoiler
1 Front Spoiler
• It is not necessary to remove the bumper cover in order to remove the spoiler.
• Removal:
- Noise insulation removed.
- Remove the fog lamp trim.
- Remove the wheel housing liner screws.
- Remove the clip in the direction of arrow with a screwdriver and remove the spoiler.
- Starting in the middle, remove the spoiler from the bumper cover in stages.
- Remove the spoiler forward from the cover.
• Installing:
- Support the spoiler from the rear and insert it straight into the center.
- Insert the air guide under the air intake grille on the spoiler - arrow - as illustrated.
- Align the spoiler so that it is centered and then, starting from the middle, clip it to the cover.
- The left and right hook on the outside must engage.
- Install the noise insulation and then attach the spoiler to the wheel housing liners.
2 Air Duct
• Install the air guide - arrow - into the spoiler as illustrated.
3 Bolt
• 2 Nm.
4 Wheel Spoiler
5 Bolt
• 2 Nm.
