Access/Start Authorization Button (E408), From MY 10

Removing






- Position selector lever in "N" position.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Unclip mounting frame for selector lever boot - 1 - from center console and lift it upward - arrows -.

- Fold selector lever boot upward.

- Release retaining spring - 2 - and remove Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit (Y26) - item 1 - upward.






- Disconnect the connector.

Vehicles Without CD Changer In Center Console Storage Compartment:






- Using a screwdriver - 2 -, pry center console storage compartment - 1 - out in - direction of arrow -.

- Reach through center console storage compartment opening and press installation frame - 1 - for Multimedia Control Head (E380) up - arrow -.






Vehicles With CD Changer In Center Console Storage Compartment:

- Reach through selector lever boot opening and press installation frame - 1 - for Multimedia Control Head (E380) up - arrow -.

All Vehicles

- Unplug connectors.

- Remove screws - arrows -.






- Open the tabs - 3 - carefully with a screwdriver and remove the multimedia system control head - 2 - from the frame - 1 -.

- Remove the screws - arrows - and remove the access/start authorization button - 2 - from the multimedia system control head - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order.
