Left Side Vent Motor (V299)
Left Side Vent Motor (V299)
• On vehicles with Basic version of Climatronic Control Module (J255) , the doors for left and right side vents as well as doors for left and right center vents are operated by Left Side Vent Motor (left and right doors are connected to each other respectively via a shaft, both shafts are connected to a lever), refer to => [ Air Duct In Front Heating & A/C Unit ] Air Duct In Front Heating & A/C Unit.
• Left Side Vent Motor Position Sensor (G164) is installed in Left Side Vent Motor.
• Motor is secured to a retaining plate, this retaining plate can then only be removed and installed with the instrument panel installed when bolts - C - are not tightened too tightly, refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Defroster Door Motor (V107), Left Side Vent Motor (V299) and Left Center Vent Motor (V110) ] Retaining Plate With Defroster Door Motor (V107), Left Side Vent Motor (V299) and Left Center Vent Motor (V110). Since on the other hand the connection of the lever on the control motors to the levers on the doors cannot be checked with the instrument panel installed, it makes sense to remove the instrument panel and remove and install the control motor with the retaining plate installed, despite the great amount of work involved to remove and install this control motor.
