Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3

Removing

- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode.

- Carefully pull the engine cover - arrows - off the 4 bolts one after the other.






- Disconnect the - 2 - exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 (G495) brown connector.






- Free up the electrical wire.

Ignore - 1 -.

- Remove the rear noise insulation - 2 -.






- Remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 - 1 -.






To provide a better illustration, component location is shown from behind with engine removed.

Ignore - 2, 3, 4 and 5 -.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following.

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exhaust Temperature Control Overview ] Exhaust Temperature Control Overview.

- Coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor thread with hot bolt past; hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Note installation position:

Dimension - a - = 10 mm between exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 - 2 - and the coolant pipe - 1 -.






- Install the noise insulation..

- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode.
