Vehicle Information





Condition

Customer reports any of the following conditions:

^ The vehicle pulls away with a jerk and slightly increased engine speed. There are no fault entries in the transmission control module. The vehicle hardly tends to creep in driving mode D and R. When pulling away, a jerk can be felt. The gear changes are uncomfortable.

^ Shifting concerns while cruising or kick down.

^ Shuddering or jerking when in R.

^ Harsh gear engagement.

Technical Background

Improved software of the transmission control module.

Production Solution

Transmission software updated.

Service

Tip:
Move the gear lever to position "P" before updating the software.

SVM Update Instructions

1. First rule out a hardware complaint, perform a visual check of the underbody (drive shafts, axles, motor mounts, sub-frame mounts, etc.).

2. Follow all instructions in the TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





3. Update the transmission control module, J217 (02), using the SVM action code as listed in the table shown, if necessary.

3. Perform adaptation drive procedure from GFF if shifting concerns still present.
