Plenum Chamber Bulkhead

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Single hand angle grinder (VAS 5167)

Socket for flow drill bolts (VAS 6426) or (6426/1)

Gas-shielded welder 250A





Separating areas

- Loosen the original joint using the single hand angle grinder (VAS 5167).





Loosen the flow drill threaded connections using the socket for flow drill bolts (VAS 6426) or (6426/1).





- - A - Loosen the riveted connection with a drill (Hazet 1967).





Replacement Parts

Plenum chamber - bulkhead

Preparing New Parts

- Prepare flange on body and new part for welding.

- Drill the holes for the gas-shielded arc plug weld seam using the drill (VAS 5830).





Welding in

- Weld in the plenum chamber bulkhead with a gas-shielded arc continuous weld seam using the gas-shielded welder 250A.





Bolting in

- Drill the flow drill bolt holes with a 7 mm diameter drill.

Create the flow drill threaded connection using the socket for flow drill bolts (VAS 6426) or (6426/1).





- Weld the new part with a gas-shielded arc plug weld seam using the gas-shielded welder 250A.
