Rear Wheel Housing Liner

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Locking pliers for the Phaeton steering gear (VAS 6199)

Removing






• Rear wheel removed.

- Remove the nuts - 3 - and bolts - 5 -.

- Remove the expanding clips - 1, 4 -.

- Remove the clips - 2 - from the wheel housing liner.

- To remove the clips - 3 -, unlock the release lever - 2 - with needle nose pliers in - direction of arrow A - and push it off the pin - 1 - in - direction of arrow B -.






- Remove the wheel housing liner.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Wheel Housing Liner Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the clip is secure after installing it.
