Rear Shelf
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Pry Lever (80 - 200)
Removing
- Versions with foldable rear seat backrest: for the rear seat backrest forward.
- Versions with fixed rear seat backrest: remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest, Fixed ] Rear Seat Backrest, Fixed.
- Vehicles equipped with a fixed rear seat backrest: remove the center rear seat belt guide. Refer to => [ Center Rear Belt Guide, with Fixed Backrest ] Center Rear Belt Guide, With Fixed Backrest.
- Vehicles equipped with a fixed rear seat backrest: remove the center rear belt anchor. Refer to => [ Rear Right Seat Belt Latch with Center Rear Belt Anchor ] Rear Right Seat Belt Latch With Center Rear Belt Anchor.
- Remove D-pillar trim. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-Pillar Trim.
- Remove the speaker trim. Refer to => [ Speaker Trim ] Speaker Trim.
- Vehicles equipped with a speaker: remove screws - 1 through 4 -.
- Vehicles equipped with an additional fastener: remove the bolt - arrow - on the left of the rear shelf (under the speaker trim).
- Unclip the rear shelf at the front using the (80 - 200) - arrows A -.
- Disengage the rear shelf on the left and right side at the rear seat belt guides.
- Vehicles equipped with a sun shade: detach the rear shelf from the sun shade.
- Pull the rear shelf forward - B arrows - and remove it.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• If the rear shelf clips remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the rear shelf.
• Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.
- Install the rear shelf into the rear window frame.
- Versions with a sun shade: Engage the rear shelf onto the sun shade.
- Press the front of the rear shelf on until it engages audibly.
