Comfort System Central Control Module (J393)
Removing
- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle diagnostic tester.
- Open the luggage compartment right side trim.
- Release clip - arrow - and pull park assist control module (J446) - item 1 - out of mounting frame.
- Move the parking aid control module with the wires still connected - 2 through 4 - to the side.
- Remove the nuts - 1 through 3 - and screw - 5 -.
- Disengage the frame - 4 - at the threaded pin and move it as far as possible toward the luggage compartment side trim panel.
- Release the tabs - 3 and 5 - - arrows A - and move the cover - 2 - as far as possible in the - direction of arrow B - at the same time.
- Release the tab - 4 - - arrow C - and remove the comfort system central control module - 1 - with the cover.
• The connectors are not shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 1 and 3 -.
- Pull the fuse - 7 - in the - direction of arrow - and disconnect the antenna connector - 6 -.
- Disconnect the connectors - 2, 4 and 5 -.
- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in the - direction of the arrow - and remove the connector.
- Remove the comfort system central control module.
Installing
• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Comfort System Central Control Module Retaining Frame, Tightening Specifications ] Luggage Compartment Relay/Fuse Carrier and Control Modules Overview.
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Install the parking aid control module. Refer to => [ Parking Aid Control Module (J446) ] Parking Aid Control Module (J446).
