Adjusting gauge (3371)

Gap dimensions, refer to => [ Rear Lid Gap Dimensions ] .

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Assembly Overview ] Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Assembly Overview.

Side and length adjustment at the hinge:

- Loosen the left and right nuts - 3 - on the hinge - 2 -.

- Adjust the rear lid - 4 - side and length position.

- Tighten the nuts.

Height adjustment at the hinge:

- Loosen the left and right screws - 1 - and - 5 - on the hinge - 2 -.

- Adjust the rear lid - 4 - height.

- Tighten the bolts - 1 - and - 5 -.

Adjusting striker pin height:





Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Assembly Overview ] Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Assembly Overview.

- Remove rear cross panel trim, refer to.

- Loosen the nuts - 1 - and - 3 - just enough so that it is possible to move the - 2 - striker pin.

During the closing test, the lid must fall from the balance position into the lid lock and engage completely.

- Tighten the nuts - 1 - and - 3 -.

Adjusting the adjusting buffer:





- Turn the adjusting buffer - 2 - using a hex socket wrench - 1 - - arrows - until the closed lid makes contact.

The rear lid must lie on the lid side stop with light tension.

Check if the rear lid sits without tension and closes by pressing or pulling at the side edges of the rear lid.

- Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
