The telephone system consists of the mobile phone pre-installation.

The Telephone Transceiver (R36) is integrated in the MMI Infotainment system via the CAN/MOST-Bus. It also has a Bluetooth(R) Antenna (R152).

The Telephone Baseplate (R126) is installed in the center console. The operation is performed via the Multimedia Control Head (E380) (MOST), the Radio (CAN) or via the Cellular Telephone (R54).

Notes on Bluetooth(R) Technology

A standardized radio connection system is used to transmit data between telephone transceiver and Telephone Handset (R37) /cellular telephone - Bluetooth(R) technology.

An additional transmitter/receiver unit is installed in the telephone transceiver. A separate Bluetooth(R) antenna connects the telephone transceiver and telephone baseplate/cellular telephone so that the telephone handset/cellular telephone can be operated cordless.

The range of the radio wave connection is approximately 10 meters (33 ft.).
