Light Switch

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing





- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into 0 position.

- Pry the instrument panel side cover - 1 - up using the (3409) - arrow - and remove it.

- Open the clip - arrow A - and move fuse panel C - 2 - in - direction of arrow B - on the instrument panel central tube - 1 -.





- Reach through the opening on the side of the instrument panel and push the light switch (E1) - 1 - toward the rear and out of the instrument panel cover on the driver side - arrow -.





- Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Press button unit into switch housing until lock mechanism engages.
