Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motors

Removing





- Remove headlamp housings. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Release the wire clamp - arrow - and remove the low beam/daytime running lamp bulb housing cover - 1 - from the headlamp housing.

- Turn the headlamp height adjustment screw - 2 - clockwise as far as the stop - arrow A -.





This guides lamp unit in headlamp into low position.

- Insert a screwdriver from behind into the headlamp housing - 1 - and press the headlamp height adjusting screw up out of the housing - arrow B -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.





- Remove the headlamp range adjustment positioning motor - 1 - by the left headlamp clockwise - arrow A - and by the right headlamp counterclockwise.

- Disengage positioning motor from headlamp housing.

- Slide the adjusting axle ball head - 4 - out of the ball socket - 3 - by tilting the positioning motor - 1 - upward - arrow B -.

- Press reflector forward and remove adjusting motor.

Installing

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Halogen Headlamps Assembly Overview, from 11.08 ] Halogen Headlamps Assembly Overview, From 11.08.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the adjusting axle ball head into the reflector ball socket from above while pulling the reflector back.

- Position the headlamp range adjustment positioning motor bayonet connection on the headlamp housing.

- Engage the headlamp range adjustment positioning motor counterclockwise on the left headlamp and clockwise on the right headlamp.

- Connect the electrical connector on the headlamp range adjustment positioning motor.

- Close the housing cover and secure it the spring clip.

- Install the headlamp housing. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.
