Left Flange Shaft Ball Bearing Mounting Bracket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Plate (VW 401)

• Thrust Plate (VW 402)

• Thrust Disc (VW 412)

• Tube 42 mm Dia. (VW 516)

- Remove the left flange shaft. Refer to => [ Left Flange Shaft Seal with Transmission Removed ] Left Flange Shaft Seal With Transmission Removed.

- Remove the locking ring - 1 - from the flange shaft.






- Remove the ball bearing - A - from the flange shaft.






- Install the ball bearing - A - on the flange shaft all the way.






• Place the bracket - B - on the ball bearing beforehand.

• Installed position for bearing bracket: Lettering on the bearing bracket faces the flange.

- Install the circlip - 1 - in the flange shaft groove.
