Removing Front Interior Lights

• To remove sunroof motor, first remove cover.

3 Combi screw

• 2 Nm

Removing Cover





- Open center console in cover and remove front screw.

- Remove trim - 1 - from cover.





- Remove left and right screws near sunroof operation rotating knob.





- Unclip cover from front of windshield first and then remove.

- Disconnect electrical connectors.





- When installing, press lines into clamps- arrow - again completely.

- Remove screws - arrow - on motor.





- Disconnect electrical connectors and remove motor - 1 - from roof module

Perform Sunroof Motor Initialization

• Initialization or learning phase must be performed after replacing sunroof motor or if motor is installed in a new sunroof frame.

• With the initialization process, you set the motor zero position.

• With the learning phase, you set a defined pinch protection force.

• For exact adjustment, you must follow the following steps exactly.

- Install motor in sunroof frame.

- Connect rotary switch to electric drive motor.

- Connect current entry connector to sunroof motor.

- Remove the sunroof fuse, wait at least 10 seconds and insert it again.

- Move rotary switch - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and open sunroof.





- Move rotary switch - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and close sunroof.





- You must now move rotary switch - 1 - in - direction of arrow - within next 5 seconds.





- Hold rotary switch in this position until sunroof tilts, opens completely and closes again.


• After you have moved rotary switch, it is about 8 - seconds until roof begins to move.

• The following initialization process is carried out without pinch protection.

- The initialization and learning phase is then complete and the sunroof can be operated normally.
