Brake Pressure Sensors
Removing
- Raise vehicle.
• The brake pressure sensor is attached to the brake pipe distributor. The brake pipe distributors are located in the engine compartment on the right and left sides.
• The brake pressure sensors can be interchanged.
• The old 1J0. brake pressure sensors cannot be bled.
• Replace the old sensors with new ones so that it is possible to bleed the brake system completely.
• The new brake pressure sensors have a part number that starts with 4F0.
- Remove wheels.
- Remove nut - 1 - and fold cover away to the side.
- Unclip wiring harness.
- Open the plastic housing cover.
- Disconnect the brake pressure sensor connector - 1 -.
- Remove the brake pressure sensor from the distributor.
• The brake line - 2 - must be loosened in order to remove the brake pipe distributor.
Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
- Tightening specification: 28 Nm
The brake line - 2 - must be loosened in order to remove the brake pipe distributor.
- Attach the brake line - 2 - after installing the brake pipe distributor. Tightening specification: 12 Nm.
