• To the end of model year 2007, the air flow door motor is being discontinued as a running change, on vehicles without the air flow door motor, the air flow door (fresh air door) is actuated via a curved washer and lever of the Recirculation door Motor (V113). Refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor (V113) ] Recirculation Door Motor (V113). Therefore note the correct allocation of the Climatronic Control Module (J255) , if the allocation or the adaptation is not OK this is detected during basic setting and stored as a malfunction. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA) and Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B) under "Guided Fault Finding".
• A Climatronic Control Module (J255) with part number as of index AE may have been or may be installed in vehicles with and without air flow door motor. So that no DTC for air flow door motor is entered in DTC memory, the adaptation of the Climatronic Control Module (J255) must be corrected using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B) under "Guided Fault Finding".
• If on vehicles without or with a air flow door motor the Climatronic control module adaptation is performed incorrectly, then there will be an entry in the DTC memory.
• These A/C control heads may also be installed in vehicles with a Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89).
• With this version of the A/C control head, there is an ECON button; the ECON button illuminate with the A/C system is switched off.
• On vehicles equipped with a 2.0L TFSI engine (engine code CAWB), only a Climatronic control module with software version 0430 (on Audi A3 and Audi A3 Sportback) is or will be installed. If vehicle with this engine have a Climatronic control module with software version 0420, then the control of the compressor is shut off by the Climatronic control module due to an unfounded request from the engine control module (the control current is limited to 300 mA, until the pressure in the refrigerant circuit exceeds approximately 7.5 bar) and the A/C cooling performance is unacceptable to the customer. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
• Installed on vehicles with a air distribution housing, A/C system with a door in the air vent to the instrument panel defrost vent with side cut-out (not the adaptation).
- From November 2007, a A/C air distribution housing with a door in the air outlet to the defroster vents in the instrument panel without a side cut-out is gradually being installed. Refer to=> [ Air Distribution Housing Defroster Outlet Door ] Overhaul.
• From November 2007, an A/C air distribution housing with a door in the air outlet to the defroster vents in the instrument panel without a side cut-out is gradually being installed It will be necessary to adapt the Climatronic control module depending the on the version of the door (with or without a cut-out on the side. Check using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B) under "Guided Fault Finding". If it is not possible to adapt correctly on a vehicle with an A/C air distribution housing with a door in the air vent to the defroster vents in the instrument panel without a cut-out on the side, the windows may fog up in the winter because there is not enough air coming out.
Other installation requirements:
• Installed in vehicles equipped with a Sunlight Photo Sensor (3241) (G107) with part number 8P0 907 539.
• Installed in vehicle without and with Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89) (see previous note).
