Passenger Occupant Detection System, Procedure after an Accident

• Each time an airbag or passenger belt tensioner deploys, the seat occupied recognition control module must be RE-ZEROED.

• If seat rails and/or the seat pan were deformed in the collision and must be replaced, replace the passenger occupant detection system with the "PODS service kit". Then a basic setting and RE-ZERO must be performed for the passenger occupant detection system control module.
