Dual Mass Flywheel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Flywheel Retainer (3067)

Removing


To prevent damage to the dual-mass flywheel when removing, bolts - B - must not be removed using an air-powered or impact wrench. Only removing bolts by hand is permitted.

- Mark the dual-mass flywheel to the engine.

- Rotate dual mass flywheel - A - so bolts - B - are centered to holes - arrows -.






- When removing the bolts - B - make sure the bolt head does not come in contact with the dual mass flywheel - arrows - which would be damaged if the flywheel is turned further.

- Insert (3067) into hole in cylinder block - B -.






- Remove the dual mass flywheel.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Transmission-Side Sealing Flange and Dual-Mass Flywheel Overview ] Transmission-Side Sealing Flange and Dual-Mass Flywheel Overview.

- Use new bolts.

- Insert (3067) into hole in cylinder block - A -.
