Rear Bumper Cover







Rear Bumper Cover

Removing

- Remove the tail lamp assembly. .






- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the parking aid control module (J446) if applicable.

- Free up the electrical wiring harness on the control module bracket - arrow - by disconnecting the cable tie - 2 -.

- Press the grommet - 3 - outward.

- Remove the nut - 3 - from the threaded pin on the cover - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - on the lower bumper cover section.






Guide piece bolt







- Before the bumper cover can be pulled to the rear, remove the bolt - 1 - fro the left and right guide piece - 3 -.

- When installing, fold the hinge - 2 - on the guide piece forward - arrow - before inserting the bolt

- Remove the left and right bolts - 1 - on the front side of the bumper.

- Release the catch for the bumper cover by removing the bolts - 3 - from the guide piece.






- Disengage the left and right bumper cover on the side panel - arrow -.

- Remove the bumper cover - 2 -. The parking aid sensor electrical wire must be guided out through the body opening.

Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Rear Bumper Assembly Overview ] Rear Bumper Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- When installing, the side catches on the guide piece - 2 - must engage completely into the bumper cover - 1 -






- Fold the hinge on the guide piece forward and insert the bolt.=> [ Guide piece bolt ]

- Connect the electrical connector on the parking aid control module (J446) if applicable.

- Install the tail lamps.
