Wiper Arms

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Puller (T10369)

Removing

• If the windshield wiper motor is to be run during this procedure, the hood must be closed, otherwise the voltage supply of the wiper motor will be interrupted.

- Bring the windshield wiper into the service position. Refer to => [ Wipers, Bringing into Service Position ] Wipers, Bringing Into Service Position.

- Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

- Using a screwdriver, pry the caps - arrows - off the wiper arms - 1 -.






- Loosen the nut - 2 - several turns.

- Install the (T10369/1) on the wiper arm - 1 - as illustrated.






- Position the thrust piece - 2 - on the wiper axis.

- Rotate the bolt - 3 - clockwise until the wiper arm is removed from the axis.

- Remove the nut completely and remove the wiper arm.

Installing

There is a risk of damaging the body.

• The driver and passenger side wiper arms are different lengths.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Adjust the wiper arms. Refer to => [ Wiper Arm, Adjusting ] Wiper Arm, Adjusting.
