Removing






- Remove the backrest cushion and place on a soft surface => [ Bucket Seat Backrest Cover and Padding Overview ] Bucket Seat Backrest Cover and Padding Overview.

• The electrical wiring harness for the module carrier must not be disconnected from the seat pan.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connector for the backrest heating element.

- Cut electrical wire - 6 - off directly at the old seat heating element - arrow -.

• The old seat heating element remains on the upholstery and the new seat heating element is bonded over it.

- Remove the old electrical connection wire.

- Disconnect electrical connecting wires - 5 - and - 7 - to the heating elements at the backrest bolsters.

Installing

- Align the new heating elements on the backrest surface.

• Make sure the new backrest heating element is affixed to the old heating element.

• Remove the protective films in the bonding sequence for the heating element area.

• When removing the protective film, make sure the heating element is not damaged and that it is attached without wrinkles.

- Remove the protective film and adhere new heating elements - 1, 2, 3, 4 - to the same positions as the old heating elements.

- Run connecting wires - A - loosely to the upper backrest heating element along the bottom of the gaps.

- Run the connecting wires loosely to the backrest bolsters along the bottom of the gaps.
